All North Lake Residents are invited to attend our monthly board meetings.
Board meetings are "usually" the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm. The meeting room at the HEB on Williams Drive is currently unavailable until the remodeling is completed in November. During this time the board will be meeting at member's homes. Feel free to contact any board member to find the current board meeting location.
Adopt-a-Highway Clean Up
Next scheduled clean up is Saturday, September 10, 2016 - 8 AM
Meet at the sign nearest to Williams Dr. at 8 am. 3 groups will each do a one mile section of FM 3405. Trash Pickup is every odd month, on the second Saturday. Bags, trash grabbers, carts and vests are provided. Help greatly appreciated.
Why should I help?
You get to keep all money found along the side of the road.
You get to double check all the tossed scratch-off game tickets for a possible winner.
You know what they say, "one man's trash is another man's treasure"
You can sing "99 bottles of beer on the wall, but change it to road"
You get to feel good about helping keep our community clean.
Its great exercise, your doctor would be proud.
Plenty of free parking.
Thanks to Mark and Karen for taking the lead on the clean up. Any questions, please contact Bob Redoutey, 512-931-2612.
Mountain Lions in North Lake
It has been reported that one or more Mountain Lions have been seen visiting the yards of North Lake residents. This has been reported by several residents, mainly along the southwest area of Valley View, at the far end of Council and off of the Twin Springs area and in the Gabriel's Grove Subdivision to the west of North Lake. The most recent reports, in June 2014, was in our eastern area off of Harbor and another report in August 2014, again off of Valley View. We are not aware of any damage to people or property at this time. The county has reported that there is not currently any program available to trap these animals, but please report sightings to the Williamson County Animal Control or the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. 800-792-1112 or 512-389-4848. If you have pictures or more information, feel free to send it to the webmaster, and we will post it here on the web site.
