Wednesday, December 11, 2019
All North Lake Residents are invited to attend our monthly board meetings.
Board meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm. Our usual meeting room is not available for December, so the board will be meet at Mas Fajitas on Williams Dr at 7pm. You are welcome to join us for dinner, or the board meeting immediately afterwards.
Wednesday, January 8, 2020 - All Residents Yearly Meeting
This years annual All Residents Meeting will take place at 7pm. The meeting will be held at the Public Safety Operations and Training Center at 5300 D.B. Wood, just a quarter mile south of Williams Dr. Go through the main entrance behind the flags and use the 2nd door on the left, the meeting room is the first door on the left. If occupied by another meeting, check down the hall. We should have 1 or 2 guest speakers at the meeting.
Adopt-a-Highway Clean Up
Next scheduled clean up is Saturday, January 11, 2020 - 9 AM
Meet at the Adopt a Highway sign on FM 3405 nearest to Williams Dr. at 9 am. 3 groups will each do a one mile section of FM 3405. Trash Pickup is every odd month, on the second Saturday. Bags, trash grabbers, carts and vests are provided. Help greatly appreciated. This is a great opportunity for a community involvement project for Boy or Girl Scouts, as well as any other group needing hours for community involvement. We could use a few more people! Our pick ups for this year has netted dozens of bags of trash, and a few odds and ends, sometimes even a little money.
Why should I help?
You get to keep all money found along the side of the road.
You get to double check all the tossed scratch-off game tickets for a possible winner.
You know what they say, "one man's trash is another man's treasure"
You can sing "99 bottles of beer on the wall, but change it to road"
You get to feel good about helping keep our community clean.
Its great exercise, your doctor would be proud.
Plenty of free parking.
Thanks to Mark and Karen for taking the lead on the clean up. Any questions, please contact Bob Redoutey, 512-931-2612.
Mountain Lions in North Lake
It has been reported that one or more Mountain Lions have been seen visiting the yards of North Lake residents. This has been reported by several residents, mainly along the southwest area of Valley View, at the far end of Council and off of the Twin Springs area and in the Gabriel's Grove Subdivision to the west of North Lake. The most recent report was in February 2019. In June 2014 there was sighting in our eastern area off of Harbor and another report in August 2014, again off of Valley View. We have received more recent sightings in 2018 as well. We are not aware of any damage to people or property at this time. The county has reported that there is not currently any program available to trap these animals, but please report sightings to the Williamson County Animal Control or the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. 800-792-1112 or 512-389-4848. If you have pictures or more information, feel free to send it to the webmaster, and we will post it here on the web site.
